How You Can Play Your Part
As our Operations Supervisor, you’ll be the backbone of our Miami operations — leading and inspiring the team, ensuring compliance, and keeping our time-critical shipments on track. You’ll act as the go-to problem solver, decision-maker, and customer champion while making sure the highest operational standards are met.
You Will:
🔹 Lead, train, and motivate the operations team to deliver outstanding results.
🔹 Oversee daily workflow, ensuring all shipments meet deadlines and compliance requirements.
🔹 Assign roles and responsibilities based on team members’ strengths.
🔹 Resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently.
🔹 Maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and service providers.
🔹 Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations (IATA, DOT, TSA, IMO, customs).
🔹 Manage shift planning and ensure smooth handovers.
🔹 Investigate delays, damages, or discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
🔹 Support continuous process improvements to boost efficiency.
About You
You’re a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and understands that in time-critical logistics, every minute counts. You’re as comfortable jumping in to solve a customer problem as you are developing SOPs and tracking KPIs.
Your Qualifications:
✅ 5+ years in freight forwarding, with a strong operational background in domestic and international logistics.
✅ Proven expertise in time-critical freight forwarding, including AOG and Next-Flight-Out services.
✅ Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory systems (ACE, TSA, Known Shipper Management System).
✅ Experience managing customs clearance processes and documentation.
✅ Excellent leadership and team management skills in a high-pressure environment.
✅ Fluent in English (spoken & written).
✅ Proficient with Transportation Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
🌟 IATA Dangerous Goods Awareness certification (or willingness to obtain).
🌟 Experience quoting freight services and managing rate structures.
🌟 Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade compliance.
🌟 Background in a 24/7/365 time-critical logistics environment.
