How You Can Play Your Part
As our Operations Supervisor, youβll be the backbone of our Miami operations β leading and inspiring the team, ensuring compliance, and keeping our time-critical shipments on track. Youβll act as the go-to problem solver, decision-maker, and customer champion while making sure the highest operational standards are met.
You Will:
πΉ Lead, train, and motivate the operations team to deliver outstanding results.
πΉ Oversee daily workflow, ensuring all shipments meet deadlines and compliance requirements.
πΉ Assign roles and responsibilities based on team membersβ strengths.
πΉ Resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently.
πΉ Maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and service providers.
πΉ Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations (IATA, DOT, TSA, IMO, customs).
πΉ Manage shift planning and ensure smooth handovers.
πΉ Investigate delays, damages, or discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
πΉ Support continuous process improvements to boost efficiency.
About You
Youβre a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and understands that in time-critical logistics, every minute counts. Youβre as comfortable jumping in to solve a customer problem as you are developing SOPs and tracking KPIs.
Your Qualifications:
β
5+ years in freight forwarding, with a strong operational background in domestic and international logistics.
β
Proven expertise in time-critical freight forwarding, including AOG and Next-Flight-Out services.
β
Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory systems (ACE, TSA, Known Shipper Management System).
β
Experience managing customs clearance processes and documentation.
β
Excellent leadership and team management skills in a high-pressure environment.
β
Fluent in English (spoken & written).
β
Proficient with Transportation Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
π IATA Dangerous Goods Awareness certification (or willingness to obtain).
π Experience quoting freight services and managing rate structures.
π Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade compliance.
π Background in a 24/7/365 time-critical logistics environment.
